In centre in a plain square the Shahada, or Kalima-e-Tayyab, (from top to bottom: La ilah illa Allah / Mohammed Rasul Allah = (There is) no god but Allah (and) Muhammad (is the) Messenger (of) Allah). In the margins the names of the four Caliphs without attributes (Abu Bakr / Umar / Uthman / Ali = Abu Bakr, Omar, Osman, Alì).
Reverse: Persian legend. In centre in a plain square the Ruler's name, nasab, title and pius wish (from top to bottom: Sultan Jalal al-Din ibn / Muhammad Shah Ghazi / khallad Allah Mulkahu = Sultan Jalal al-Din son of King Muhammad, Warrior against the infidels, may Allah perpetuate his reign). In the margins the Ruler's laqab and kunyah (Ghiyath al-Dunya wa'l Din abu 'l Muzaffar = Succor of the World and the Religion, Father of the Victorius). The date (971) is in the margin left.
