British India – Imperial period (1858-1947) – George V (1910-1936). Rupee 1911. Mint: Bombay (bead privy mark), Silver (ø 30.5 mm – w. 11.60 g.). Edge: grained. Pridmore 217. KM 523.

Obverse:
Bust of Emperor George V to left wearning the Imperial Crown and the ermine Robe of State, the Collar of the Orders of the Star of India and Indian Empire and the badge of the Order of the Bath, B.M. in relief on the truncation of the shoulder. Divided legend around: rurler's name and titles (GEORGE V KING / EMPEROR). Decorative toothed border.

Reverse:
Legend in centre within a double circle line. English denomination above (ONE / RUPEE) and State's name with date below (INDIA / 1911), Persian denomination below the date (Yek Rupiya = One Rupee). The whole surrounded by a saracenic scroll composed of conventional representations of a rose, thistle and shamrock. At top and bottom the Indian lotus. All within another double-line circle. Decorative toothed border.
