Obverse:
Crowned coat-of-arms of Portugal with ornaments.

Reverse:
Cross of St. Thomas in centre between ornaments, date in its angles (1 - 8 - 0 - 6), denomination in Reis (600) above, mint name (DIO) below.

Note:
Modern forgery. Made using the same dies as older forgeries, but on a thinner flan. Artificially toned to simulate age. The silver alloy used to make it is wrong: silver and zinc instead of silver and copper.

Fakes like this one, also slabbed and graded, are sometimes offered in public auctions.
