Afghanistan – Durrani Dynasty – Shah Zaman (AH 1207-1216 / AD 1793-1801). Rupee AH 1201 (sic!) RY 2, Mint: Ahmadshahi (Ashrafu-l-bilad) / Qandahar, Silver (ø 23 mm – w. 11.49 g.). Edge: plain. KM 133. Whitehead 744 (AH 1209 RY 2).

Obverse:
Persian legend. Couplet with the Ruler's name and titles (xxx = Obtained permanency by command of the Lord of both Worlds, Current coin of the realm throught the name of Shah Zaman).

Reverse:
Persian legend. Mint name with epithet, date and regnal year (In a mixed order: Zarb Ashrafu-l-bilad Ahmad Shahi = Struck at Ahmadshahi, the Most Noble of the Cities). The regnal year (2) is below the bottom line at left. The date (1201) is above the bottom line at right.

Note:
Date on the coin 1201, error for 1210. Probably the digit 0 in the date is just a field decoration and the date is written as 121.
