Obverse: Persian legend. Couplet with the Ruler's name and titles (from top to bottom: (fazuad) sikkah daulat / Sultan Mahmud / sim Hasan (digar) bi-zar wa = Made abundant coin of the realm on gold and silver, the second Hasan, Sultan Mahmud). The date (xx28) is in the central line at left over the word 'Mahmud'. A 'Star' and an 'open Flower' above the 'S' and the 'N' of 'Sultan'. Ornaments of dots in field.
Reverse: Persian legend in double square, first one dotted. Mint name and regnal year (From bottom to top: Zarb sanat 5 / julus Pashawar = Struck at Peshawar (in the) year 5 of reign). Flowers of dots in field. Arabesques in margins.
