Obverse:
Persian legend. Couplet with the Ruler's name and titles (from bottom to top: [Zad bar Haft] Kish[war] S[ikkah / Sayah] Fazl Hami din-i- / [Ilah Muha]mmad [Shah] ‘Alam [Badshah] = Struck coin through the seven climes, the shadow of the divine favour, Shah Alam, the Emperor, the defender of the Faith of Mohammed). Date (12xx) in the central line at right. Symbols: Flower and Chhati (umbrella).

Reverse:
Persian legend. Mint name and Julus formula (from bottom to top: [Ju]lus sanat 37 / maimanat manus / [za]rb [Mumi]nab[ad Bindraban] = Struck at Muminabad Bindraban (in the) year 37 (of his) reign associated with prosperity). Symbols: Scimitar, Swastika and Trident.
