Obverse:
Bust of the Emperor Kuang Hsu to left with mandarin hat, ornamented robe and pigtail, toothed border.

Reverse:
4 Chinese characters (Ssu Ch'uan Sheng Tsao = Made in Szechuan Province) around a vertical rosette in centre, floral patterns along the border, within a braided circle, toothed border.

Note:
Imitation of the British India Rupee featuring Queen Victoria, minted in the Chinese Province of Szechuan, for use in Tibet and Kangding district. With local merchant counterstamp in Chinese characters.
