Note: Decree of January 19, 1889. During the reign of D. Carlos I a substitution of an indented PM (Province of Mozambique), wich replaced the crowned PM of D. Luis I, was counterstamped on all foreign silver coinage circulating in Mozambique. Caution is required with this counterstamp, forgeries are known to exist and are wide spread.
