Obverse: Bust of George V to left wearning the Imperial Crown and the ermine Robe of State, the Collar of the Most Noble Order of the Garter and the badge of the Most Honorable Order of the Bath. Divided legend around: rurler's name and titles (GEORGE V KING / EMPEROR), beaded border interrupted by ruler's bust.
Reverse: Coat-of-arms of Mauritius in centre dividing the date (19 / 34), State's name (MAURITIUS) above between four-petal flowers and dots, Denomination (ONE RUPEE) below between four-petal flowers and dots. Separate designer's initials (K / G = Kruger Gray, George) below the Coat-of-arms, beaded border.
