Obverse: Persian legend. Couplet with the Ruler's name (From bottom to top: [Auj mahi ta be-mah / sikkah zan] bar sim wa zar az / Hokam be-Ahmad badshah / shod az Qadir bi-chun = The command come from the Powerful One, who has none like Him, to Ahmad the Emperor, to strike coin on silver and gold from the height of the Fish up to the Moon). The date (1174) is in the central line at lef. Border of dots between two linear circles.
Reverse: Persian legend. Mint name and Julus formula (From bottom to top: [Anwala Zar]b / julus sanat 14 / maimanat manus = Struck at Anwala (in the) year 14 (of his) reign associated with prosperity). The mint name is off the flan.
