Obverse: Persian legend. Couplet with the Ruler's name and titles (from bottom to top: Sikka zad bar sim zar / Zaman Shah yamin wa yasari / bi-hokam Ilahi = Struck coin on silver and gold by the Divine command, Shah Zaman, right hand and left hand (of the State)). The date (12-12) is above the bottom line at left, divided by the N of the word Yamin.
Reverse: Persian legend. Within a linerar circle the Mint name with epithet, the date and the regnal year (In a mixed order: Zarb 5 Ashrafu-l-bilad Ahmad Shahi = Struck at Ahmadshahi, the Most Noble of the Cities, (in the regnal year) 5). The date (1212) is above the bottom line at right.
